Project with survivors of trafficking and modern day slavery
Our latest project has been working with survivors of trafficking and modern day slavery. We offered the course to clients from the charity Unseen. Seven women took part.
The women chose individual themes for their projects and made work on location in central Bristol. It was a particularly powerful project as by using photography the women took control and ownership of the space around them. They created some very moving work which will be shown in exhibition in October.
One woman told us that taking photographs made her 'feel safe' and another woman said it made her 'feel happy'.
